Three University of Texas Football Players Arrested

Three football players from the University of Texas have been arrested for armed robbery. The three football players are all 18 years old, and another 22 year old female has been arrested for driving. The attempted armed robbery happened at a Pilot gas station in Knoxville.
Janzen Jackson, Nu’keese Richardson and Mike Edwards are the football players who have been arrested and charged with three counts of attempted armed robbery. Marie Montmarquet is the alleged 22 year old driver. All four suspects are facing the same charges.
Bail has been set at $19,500 for Nu’keese Richardson and Mike Edwards, $15,000 for Janzen Jackson and $119,000 for Marie Montmarquet.
University of Texas athletic director has issued this statement:
“At this time we are currently evaluating the circumstances surrounding an incident involving Mike Edwards, Janzen Jackson and Nu’Keese Richardson,” Hamilton said. “Any decisions or comments regarding their status will not be made until the evaluations are complete.”
