First UFL Championship Game Set

The Las Vegas Locos and the Florida TuskersĀ have both secured a spot in the first ever UFL championship game. The Championship game will be played in Las Vegas at Sam Boyd Stadium (home of the Las Vegas Loco’s). A little unfair to Florida as Vegas will have home field advantage, but at least there will be plenty of fans in the stands.
The game is set for November 27th at 12:00 PM. A strange time spot in my opinion but I’ll be watching.
I’m looking forward to the 6 team season next year and hope the UFL continues to grow. I was watching the Las Vegas game last Saturday and was extremely surprised to learn that the average salary for the players is $35k a year and quarterbacks make $60k/year. Granted they only have to play 6 games, but still that’s one hell of a pay cut even for a practice squad NFL player making the league minimum. ($300k/year) This shows that the players REALLY love and want to play football.
