Top 15 Most Visited Websites of Today

Top 15 Most Visited Websites of Today

The different ways/reasons people are starting to use the web is ever changing. Millions of people are now seemingly “always online” checking their facebook or updating their twitter account. With certain online trends catching on so fast, the most visited websites have been changing. Many are still the same or close to what they have been at for years, but there’s a few new sites in the top 15.

  1. Google.com – The king who will remain king for years and years to come. Google is always innovating and constantly buying/building new products, and releases most of them for free.
  2. Facebook.com – Facebook robbed Yahoo of their number 2 spot. Facebook is the largest social networking site in the world where many people love to share everything going on in their life.
  3. Yahoo – Before Google took over, Yahoo was the number 1 most visited site in the world for a long time. Google took over number 1 — Facebook exploded taking number 2 — then down goes Yahoo to number 3.
  4. Youtube – Who doesn’t use Youtube? Every video you could possibly imagine is likely available, and many videos contain really helpful stuff.
  5. Windows Live – Now Bing.com (22), Live still remains at number 5.
  6. Wikipedia – Has to be the largest source of free information in the world. Completely changed the way factual information is shared, and probably wiped out encyclopedias.
  7. Blogger – Blogger is a free hosted blogging platform now owned by Google. Anyone can make a blog within minutes with Blogger and its all completely free.
  8. Baidu – A Chinese search engine.
  9. MSN – Microsoft’s content provider and I think they still provide dial-up internet. Just a few years ago I can remember MSN being number 3.
  10. Yahoo Japan – Japanese version of Yahoo.
  11. QQ.com – Japanese social networking site.
  12. Myspace – Myspace started the social networking boom. It ran out of steam but still gets alot of traffic. Some studies show that less educated people chose Myspace over Facebook.
  13. Google India – India is the outsource capital of the world. The fact that is number 13 makes complete sense as most of the jobs being outsourced there are online data entry or programming.
  14. Twiiter – Twitter has grown so much and many people don’t think its “just a fad”. Its traffic stats are growing at an incredible rate and I wouldn’t be surprised if Twitter moved up 5 spots in the coming months.
  15. Google.de – European Google.

Looking at the list probably makes complete sense to you, as you might use most of these websites daily. I’ll bet if you get online alot, you at least visit the top 4 once every day.
