XBOX 360 Modders Got F*cked
Microsoft has recently banned over 1 Million modded Xbox 360’s from Xbox Live. Microsoft says all of these banned Boxes have in some way violated their terms of use policy.
These banned 360’s are going to be showing up all over the internet for sale. Hint: Don’t buy a used Xbox 360 off craigslist or ebay for awhile. If you just have to, make sure to find out if the Xbox works with Live or not. If you don’t you’re going to be fucked/pissed because you’re going to have to sell it — its worthless without Live.
Owners of the modded consoles attempted to plead with Microsoft, but Microsoft says they don’t care. If the Xbox was banned, the owner in some way violated the terms of use.
“We can assure you that if an Xbox Live member follows the Xbox Live terms of use, purchased a retail copy of Modern Warfare 2 and played the game on an unmodified Xbox 360, no action will be taken,”
A great deal though for Microsoft in the long run. So they’ve banned 1 million boxes, now all those people are going to have to go out and buy another box. Its like buy one get one free but the opposite for Microsoft.
